This is an unusual security item but, using the Alfa Proj standard key, is more secure than usual.  Just loop the rectangular end piece round the handle of the case containing your valuables and back through the swinging arm of the cuff.  Close the cuff and any case snatcher is going to have to take you with him!  The cuff is double locking with the shaft of the key.
