Tough military forces often reward life threatening mistakes with corporal punishment.  If you mess up badly in the special forces then expect to be strapped into this caning bench and dealt with.  It is remarkably 'comfortable'.  The rear platform is height adjustable and the intermediate support and front handles are easily changed both vertically and horizontally.

Escape is impossible when the straps are secured.
